Nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide
Topical Nystatin + triamcinolone is an antifungal combination that prevents fungus from growing and reduces dermatitis (skin inflammation, swelling, and redness). Triamcinolone is a high-potency steroid commonly used to treat any type of dermatitis. Be cautious to not exceed the prescribed dosages especially if you have diabetes. Steroid medications are absorbed through the skin easily and they tend to increase your glycemic levels (blood glucose) or urine glucose. If your urinalysis reports a positive test for sugar that isn’t supposed to be, don’t panic first tell the doctor that you are using a corticosteroid its due to the steroid or you may have an undiagnosed condition. How to apply a topical medication? well, you should apply a thin layer of the topical medication to your skin and rub it gently until completely dissolved. The most common side effects are blurred vision (or seeing halos around lights), palpitations, changes in mood, sleep disturbance, weight gain, facial puffiness, and feeling tired.
